The Family Tree formally known as the Derwent Hotel has always welcomed visitors and guests.

Our gorgeous and impressive Grade ll listed building began life as a coach house and we like to think we’ve continued the tradition of providing comfort as well as unexpected luxury to all who visit us.

We have four beautiful en-suite bedrooms in our separate annexe for you to choose from, all have been decorated uniquely and filled with light and each has its own distinct character.

This charming and delightful place treats you like family. The owner and staff make you feel at home whether it’s just a stop for a coffee or like us a stay for a few nights. Rooms are well-kept and very cosy. Service and atmosphere is fantastic.

Lovely friendly atmosphere. The tea room/restaurant was pleasantly busy, and obviously very popular. The owners and their staff are so welcoming and attentive and we’d definitely recommend The Family Tree to any of our friends who visit the Dales.

Myself and my partner had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Family Tree. They could not do enough for us. We had a great night's sleep in the very comfy bed. The breakfast in the morning was quite the experience, we felt like VIPs. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
